Content, simulation control, and simulation communications are separated from the delivery platform.

• The Content and Control Authoring Functions allow content and simulation control authors to modify the simulation without having to know anything about programming the environment.
   
• Having the Simulation Control Functions and the system database external to the virtual environment and it's database, results in reduced development and maintenance costs. This design also results in simulations that can be ported to other delivery platforms at reduced costs compared to custom designs for each platform.
